Nigerian, UK, Canadian, Spainish Lottery Fraud

Many times through out the day we get calls about “some email,” that the person got and they think it is a fraud. The call will usually go something like this.
-Yeah I got this email, it says that I won the Nigerian (or insert name,) Lottery, and I think it might be a fake.
Have you lost any money or given any personal information out in regards to this email?
-Umm Yeah, and they sent me these money orders, they said to cash them and wire them back money so that I can get my Billions.
Have you cashed said money orders?
-Umm, Yeah. But they are good. What I think is fake is that the guy says he is in, but the address that I wired the money to was in Flordia.
Okay, what you need to do NOW is call your bank, call western union, call the social security administration, call the three credit reporting agencies, and call your priest/pastor/pope/bishop, you are going to need some one to pray that money back into your account.
It amazes me how stupid people get when the word free is uttered.
“You won free money, you never applied or bought a ticket, you never worked a day for it, but it is yours.”
-WHAT THE HELL?
Before I worked here I thought that most people were smart with stupid moments, NO LONGER do I believe that! Most people are so self centered that they refuse to believe that there is someone out there trying to take their money, and boy are they creative about how. When we tell the person that they have lost money and that the lottery is a fraud, (even though they sent it by email,) people become defensive. They say that the money is legit, or the soldier just found a million dollars worth of gold, and it just needs a way into the country. Even if it was true. . . It would be illegal!
So if you are reading this and you are thinking about wiring some rich prince 3500$, think about this: I work everyday, I have a family and your money will not go to help fund terrorists in or any other place in the world. If you send me the money it will go to help put food on the table for my girls, or help us get our house ready to sale, or it can be put to use by fueling my little pickup so that I can drive to work and actually fight terrorism. Just think about it.

OOOO, I like this idea. Send the money to people who really work. And more money people send to us means less worries right now. I can hire the man down the road and he can do all the work will I hire another man to paint my nails, another person to watch my kids, and another one to fix my meals all while I sit under a palm branch and get fed grapes by my husband (who will finally be able to relax, somewhat!).
